Ray Blatt

Founder & CEO

Ray was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 4 years old. He acquired Skylonda Lodge in 2014 and decided to revive the original intention of the property as a wellness retreat destination which was hugely popular with many celebrities such as Barbra Streisand and Robin Williams in the 1990s. Ray has more than 20 years of Real Estate development experience. He is the former owner of Alta Mira Recovery Center in Sausalito, CA.




Gabrielle Pelicci, Ph.D.

Sales and Marketing Director

Dr. Gabby is a leading expert on Holistic Medicine  and has more than a dozen years of teaching experience under her belt at top universities in Mind-Body Medicine and Holistic Health. Dr. Gabby has traveled to 40 countries, worked with thousands of clients  and has more than 2000 hours of training in yoga, massage therapy, meditation and energy healing. Dr. Gabby completed her doctoral work in Transformative Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco with a dissertation on women healers.




DeAnn Teixeira

Fitness Director

DeAnn received her BS in Sports Nutrition with emphasis in Psychology, in addition to being a certified personal trainer and wellness coach for over 20 years. As the creator of many weight loss and fitness programs across the Bay Area, she has helped thousands of people to find a healthier lifestyle via a focus on clean eating, outdoor workout programs, goal setting techniques, and encouraging a life of overall well-being.




Isabelle Jackson Nunes

Executive Chef

Isabelle is born and raised in Northern California and is inspired by the abundance of local and organic foods in the Bay Area. She began her culinary journey in an effort to pursue her own health goals and she fell in love with her craft. She has been dedicated to culinary arts  for 11 years. Her experience includes working for local wineries, Michelin rated restaurants and high volume corporate accounts. Isabelle is passionate about sourcing sustainable ingredients and ethical food service.




Jennifer Tarkiainen

Director of Operations

Jennifer’s career spans over two decades of international business management in Europe. She transitioned into wellness in 2012 to bring together her passion for holistic health and corporate management experience. In addition to her tech background with companies such as Nokia, Microsoft, and Tellabs, Jennifer is also an executive performance coach for Hintsa Performance, a European-based clinic best known for their Formula 1 sports clientele. She also enjoys being a certified fitness trainer for Stanford University.




Bob Granger

Nutrition Therapist

Bob’s journey with nutrition started in 2010 when he was diagnosed with Stage IV bone cancer and was required to research and formulate his own nutritional therapy plan as an alternative to the one offered by the cancer treatment center. He thrived during the three consecutive years that he underwent treatment and remains cancer-free to this day. He is now a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with a practice based in Boulder Colorado.




Daniel Molnar

Program Assistant & Hiking Guide

Daniel was born in Hungary and has always loved being outdoors.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s in Sports Management.  Daniel has worked as a head cross country and track coach, a college adjunct instructor, and competed in several triathlons. As an athlete and avid outdoorsman, he’s hiked many of his bucket-list places in North America and over the pond including a year abroad in New Zealand.




Devin O’Dea

Social Coordinator & Hiking Guide

Devin is a student, writer, naturalist, and community developer.  His passions lie in the fields of outdoor recreation, philosophy, science, digital marketing, wellness, and spiritual ecology.  He has been actively exploring the outdoors via backpacking, mountaineering, fly fishing, and yoga retreats over the last 10 years.  Devin is especially passionate about facilitating meaningful experiences in a group setting and guiding outdoor expeditions.




Melda Erbatur

Sous Chef

Melda is a native of Turkey, where she grew up with the food-obsessed culture of the Mediterranean. Seven years ago, after spending more than a decade in the airline industry, she decided to follow her lifelong dream of creating great food and moved to California. She got her Culinary Arts degree from CCSF and found herself immersed in the fast-paced life of fine catering and then sharpened her skills as a sous chef at a popular SF restaurant before joining the team at Skylonda Lodge.
